Melboards has an extremely diverse range of customers for its cut to size operation; from the construction industry and caravan and camper van industry, through cabinet makers, specialised ceiling manufacturers, the exhibition industry and shopfitters, to boat builders, coffin makers and hardware retailers. Anywhere that a cut panel is used.

 

CNC drilling and routing
Our skilled tradesmen operate a CNC drilling and a CNC routing machine. While the drilling machine is mostly used for drilling out hinge, shelf support (system 32), drawer runner and fixing holes in our cabinets, the router is used in any application where a complicated shape is required. Applications include table tops, architectural panel work, mantlepieces, slotted ceilings, acoustic panels, template manufacture, slat wall, decorative panel shaping and so on.  We also have a spindle moulder for long sections of moulded product.

Cutting
We have two high-capacity beam saws for those large jobs, augmented by two panel saws. No job is too big or too small.  All cut to size coloured board and white board can be labelled with panel information, making it easier to identify panels, particularly on larger jobs.  Please specify if you need your jobs labelled.
Edgebanding
Our saws are supported by two edgebanders for jobs that need to be edged. In addition to edge tapes that are applied by edgebander, we can hand edge more complicated shapes either with conventional or T-mould edging.
